Fishersgate Footbridge Removal and Installation

Location: Fishergate Railway Station, Brighton

Commissioned by: BAM Nuttall

Date: Week 39, December 2018

Points of Interest:
Due to minimal road access around the works location, Road Rail Cranes was contacted due to our innovative, on-track lifting solutions.  All works completed under Road Rail Cranes POS, included installation of a new footbridge (14m long, 10.1t weight) and the support trestles and stairs.
The installation works were then followed by the removal of the existing footbridge, which comprised of 10x lifts reaching up to 21.5m radius and a max. load of 3t.

Plant used:
Our AC100-4L mobile crane was positioned at Hove Railway Station to perform the load out of new and old materials with the supporting RRV's and trailers under full contract lift conditions. An AC55 Road Rail Crane was utilised under full contract lift at the works location with a single setup.  2 x RRV provided from Pro Rail Services.
